Pepper

Pepper is a spice having many herbal qualities. Pepper come in two colors namely black and white.  The spice has very rich history and dates back to centuries. Alexander the great knew it’s fragrance when he invaded India and spreaded it’s aroma to the world.

It is used in the treatment of a wide range of diseases including but not limited to asthma, tooth-ache, nausea, paralysis, cough, throat infections, indigestion, gastric problems etc.. It is made a part of daily food in Indian subcontinent and in other countries it’s usage is limited compared to India. It is said that pepper will add taste to food and increases appetite.

Turmeric

Turmeric is the naturally available powerful anti-infectant. It is widely used in cooking purposes to add colour and taste to the food. However, its usage is limited in western countries. Turmeric powder is extensively used in herbal cosmetic industry.

When turmeric powder is taken along with honey, we get a great relief from throat infections and cough. Turmeric is a natural hair remover. To avoid growth of turmeric, Indian women from their childhood make a habit of applying turmeric paste to the face and body. In recent studies, it is found out that turmeric reduces the orthopedic problems. The spice may be cheap in price, but a great medicine.
