Turmeric

Ashwagandha
Ashwagandha belongs to Solanaceae family and is a very valuable herb in medicine. Ashwagandha is a sanskrit word where Ashwa stands for Horse and Gandha stands for aroma. Since the herb possess aroma like horse, it is given the name.

We can say that it is the most popular and must to have constituent in most of the ayurvedic medicines. It has its origin in Pakistan,Sri Lanka, India and other south Asian countries. It is used to cure infections, most commonly throat infections. It has many medicinal qualities and can fight against a wide range of disease causing germs. It is used in extending life to HIV effected people. It is employed in curing insomnia, infections, sexual problems etc..
