Keeping your Energy Up

Working out takes energy and staying fit requires working out. It’s part of life that many of us would like to deny, but whether you are taking strikes a heavy boxing bag or your running a marathon you need the energy to make it happen. Here are a few herbal solutions to keep your energy up and keep yourself running at optimal efficiency.

I am, of course, talking about that magical bean. The coffee bean hold one of the most tested and beneficial stimulants on the planet. Caffeine is effective and safe while still being easily consumed in a tasty brew. There are some considerations to keep in mind though.

The first of these considerations is dosage. You want to keep your caffeine intake to a low and regular pace. It’s fine to down a couple shots of espresso in the morning to give yourself that extra boost once in a while but you don’t want to make that a habit. A low and slow intake is the best to keep your energy and metabolism up.
Speaking of metabolism, caffeine is not enough to keep you hitting that boxing bag. No single chemical or herbal supplement is. That’s why they are called supplements. They need to be taken as a part of a well-balanced diet and with the right nutrients to keep your body functioning and benefiting from the exercise.

Hydrate as much as you can. We don’t hydrate enough as it is and if you plan to incorporate caffeine into your regimen in any serious form, or you have already developed a taste for it, you are going to need even more water than you normally would.

Avoid caffeine pills or caffeine in any unnatural form. Coffee and other natural forms of caffeine are the best. Set up a schedule and stick to it. Otherwise you are going to crash have way through your workout on the cheap boxing bag and that’s nto good in any way.
